Job opportunity: 8 month, full time position on the Wellcome Trust-funded project ‘People Like You: Contemporary Figures of Personalisation’ (maternity cover).
The post holder will conduct research into data science at Imperial College Academic Health Sciences Centre, ideally combining an ethnographic approach with an understanding of the methods used in data science. This will inform a critical understanding of how biological and other data from individuals are aggregated, processed, analysed and reported in the process of creating new categories of ‘people like you’ to inform treatment and prediction. You will collaborate closely with the project team on personalisation in breast cancer services, HIV services and digital culture as well as public-facing elements of the project such as our website, events and meetings.
