The Northern Network for Medical Humanities Research (NNMHR) is delighted to welcome scholars, practitioners, health professionals, artists and health advocates to join us at Durham University for its inaugural Congress.
This is an opportunity for people who are passionate or even simply curious about medical humanities research to share ideas and meet potential future colleagues and collaborators.
The programme includes a keynote address by Ericka Johnson and Kristin Zeiler (Linköping University, Sweden), parallel sessions, Open Space (where participants self-organise to focus on themes and aims identified by them) and two closing panel sessions on Critical Disability Studies and Global Medical Humanities. Further detail of the programme can be viewed here – NNMHR Provisional Programme.
This event is free to attend, but places are limited so please register your attendance now through Eventbrite. Please note that accommodation bookings need to be made separately – a link will be sent to you in your registration confirmation email.
The Congress will be held at Van Mildert College Durham, Thursday 14th – Friday 15th September 2017. Refreshments and dinner on Thursday 14th are included. The Congress closes at 4.30pm on Friday 15th. Please contact Jane Abel with any questions.
