Are you interested in doctoral study in the medical humanities?

At the Medical Humanities Research Centre here in Glasgow University, we are looking for applicants to enter the Scottish Graduate School for Arts and Humanities AHRC Doctoral competition.

At the discretion of the Medical Humanities Research Centre, applicants may also be supported for the later Wellcome Trust Medical Humanities Doctoral Studentship scheme (deadline c. April 2016).

Please note that deadlines are very tight. In order to be nominated for these awards, applicants must hold an unconditional or conditional offer of a place on a relevant University of Glasgow PhD programme by Wednesday 6 January 2016.

Current Glasgow University students: There is an internal deadline of Monday 23 November 2015 for students to submit their draft scholarship application for scrutiny by the University of Glasgow, School of Critical Studies.

Students applying from outside Glasgow University: AHRC applications can be made up until Monday 6 January 2016, but you must develop your draft scholarship application as soon as possible in consultation with your proposed supervisor(s).

Please note that this is an internal competition from which the College of Arts will nominate a number of applications to the Scottish Graduate School for the Arts and Humanities.
