As part of the University of Glasgow’s School of Modern Languages and Cultures Research Seminars, Dr Sheila Dickson will be presenting on he work on the history of psychiatry. Dr Dickson’s paper is entitled ‘The development of Psychiatry as Medical Specialism in the Enlightenment period: Rotation Therapy for Maniacs, Melancholics and Idiots’.
