Survey: New Starter Grant for researchers in the Medical Humanities and Medically-related Social Sciences

Building on the success of the Starter Grants Scheme for Clinical Lecturers, the Academy of Medical Sciences aims to develop a new grant scheme that provides funding for early career lecturers / researchers working within the medical humanities and medically-related social sciences. To get a better understanding about funding and career support needs, we would like to invite researchers, lecturers and professors within the medical humanities and medically-related social sciences to participate in a short survey.

The survey has been designed for all researchers who work within medical humanities and/or medically-related social sciences, especially early career lecturers. This includes PhD students and postdocs as well as Professors and Directors / Heads of Departments.

We are interested in exploring the best ways to design the scheme, and would appreciate your honest and open comments about your career paths, current funding requirements and unmet funding needs as well as mentoring opportunities.

Since your insight is invaluable to the Academy of Medical Sciences and the development of this new scheme, we may ask for your consent to share your responses and details with select Academy staff and Fellows. If you do not feel comfortable sharing this information, simply indicate this preference at the end of the survey and your response will remain anonymous.

Complete the survey here.

If you have any questions, please contact Madgalena Kuenkel from Aleron.

Please share widely!
